Discover how easy it is to send files using the Messages app.
Sending a file from one computer is fairly easy. You can zip and email it, use DropBox, or even better, use AirDrop on your Mac; but there’s another way: via the Messages app.
There are two simple ways to send a file from your Mac to someone else:
- Drag it from a folder or the desktop to the Messages window. It’ll drop onto whichever conversation is open, all you need to do then is press Enter to send it.
- Right-click on the file, move the cursor over Share then choose Messages. A helpful pop-up window will then let you type a contact address and send it.
